Swimmer and Volunteer Check In

When you arrive at the meet, have your swimmer check in with their coach so that the coach is aware that they present. If your swimmer does not check in, they may be counted as absent, and might get scratched from the meet!

Volunteers will check in at the front desk (or table) and receive further instructions.

What to bring to a swim meet

Make sure that your swimmer always brings their team suit, team cap, and two pairs of goggles (just in case a pair breaks). Swimmers will also need two towels, one for laying out on the ground, and one for drying off. Always bring water! It is also good practice to bring a healthy snack such as fruit, veggies, a sandwich, etc. Please do not feed your swimmer fast food or sweets before coming to the meet! Fast food is very unhealthy, and is very low in the nutrients that your swimmer needs in order to have a good race. Your swimmer may feel tired, or even sick if they eat junk food before coming to a swim meet. Save sweets and treats until after the meet is over.

Meet Timelines

Meets typically run based on how many swimmers are present, how many events are swam and how efficiently the meet is run. When your swimmer is finished, and if you are not volunteering, you are free to leave the meet. If you are volunteering, you must stay for the whole meet as your job is very much needed!

Our meets are on usually every Thursday night, starting at 6:00 PM, with ages 5 - 18 years old. Our meets are usually finished by 9:00PM. Once your swimmer has finished all of their events, you are free to leave, but please make sure your swimmer checks out with a coach!

PreCompete:

Precompete meets have warmups at 8:00 A.M. with the meets starting at 8:30 A.M. Usually, they are finished before noon. You do not need to enter your kids into Precompete swim meets. Just come ready to swim!
