Jets May Updates!
Good evening, J Jets families!
We are only two weeks away from the start of the 2025 season! With that being said, here are some updates and reminders regarding tryouts, the parent meeting, and some preseason information:
Tryouts are THIS Weekend, May 17th! Please drop in anytime between 8:00am and 11:00am. We will have our coaches there to help evaluate your swimmer to make sure they are right where they need to be or if they need to switch groups. If you are currently signed up for precompete, you should have gotten an email letting you know that you should bring your swimmer to tryouts if they are 8 and up to see if they are eligible for the intermediate team. The intermediate team practices at the same time as precompete, but in the outdoor, 50 meter pool instead of the indoor, 25 yard pool. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this practice!
The Parent Meeting is also THIS Saturday, May 17th at 12:30pm in the social hall at the J. At the meeting, you will pick up the team handbook, your team t-shirts, caps, and meet the coaches! We will also have our parent board members (shout out to you guys!) present to help with questions. 
Practices will begin Tuesday, May 27th, 2025. Advanced Practice starts at 6:45am with dryland, and Intermediate starts at 8:00am with dryland as well. Try to have your swimmers at the pool at 6:40am so they are ready to start on time with us! There will be no evening practice on May 29th, and no combined Fun Friday practice on May 30th. Practice on May 30th will be split between Advance and Intermediate. 
Please make sure you frequently check out the team website and have updated your team account for the 2025 season. If you are reading this email, that does not mean you are updated for the 2025 season. You will need to login and re-register on our team website to do this. New team members will follow the same link attached below, and create a new account (registration on the team website is $0).
Our online store is up and running! If you have not ordered a team suit, now is a great time! You can also order from your phone right after the parent meeting in case you have questions!
If you would like to order a custom swim cap with your swimmer's name on it, please order using this google form. Each order is $25 for two caps. The deadline to order a custom cap is June 4th, 2025!
Last but certainly not least, it is not too late to sign up for the 2025 season! I have gotten several emails asking if people can still join the team, and the answer is a resounding YES! If you know anyone who is interested in swimming this summer at the J, please forward them this email, and they can get in contact with Coach Drew!
